Brief Biography

Anna Yin was born in China, immigrated to Canada in 1999 and has more than 80 poems published internationally. In 2005, Anna received the Ted Plantos Memorial Award and she was interviewed by CBC Radio and her poem “Toronto, No More Weeping” was aired soon after. Anna is a member of The Ontario Poetry Society and is a Director of the Chinese Cultural Federation of North America. Anna was selected as CFP Feature Poet for February (2006) by Canadian Federation of Poets. Poems in English & Chinese and 10 translation works were selected in Textbook of Canada Study for international students by Humber College in 2007. She has three booklets: Jasmine Star Light, Beyond My Knowing & Farewell to Sunflowers. Contact: anna.yin@gmail.com .
