When desire awakens
********************************(2005/03)
I halt and
listen--
to each thin leaf
and falling dewdrop
Up the slope,lilac dangles
and shadows beckon the moon
On the lake, zephyr harps
and ripples draw gentle notes
your orchard unveils
its reddish ripeness
and a gleamy trail
looms in deep woods
before a nightingale sings,
I fall for evening primrose.

Trepidation of Love
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~(2005/02)
I don't call it
a love,
on the misty night,
my stomach aches.
I watch ashes
glow in the fireplace,
a moment ago,
they were poems recited against the cold.
beautiful yet fleeting,
as the firework
on my starry night;
now only trepidation of
love,
as a falling star
disappears to dark. |
